Three experienced musicians, a legendary voice, an underground company that manages to constantly exceed its musical limits and creates the ultimate live atmosphere in every concert. Ypogeia Revmata is a living organization that has been constantly changing its form throughout its 25 years of existence, remaining true to its musical and social principles. In the last five years the band, as a trio, with Grigoris Klioumis (vocals & guitar), Tasos Peppas (drums & vocals) and Nikos Youssef (bass & vocals) have dynamically developed its sound, giving non-stop concerts all over Greece and abroad, in every small or large venue and festival, proving why it remains one of the most important and most topical bands of the Greek scene. The sound imprint of these five years is their new album "I gi poy afino", released in December 2020 digitally, on cd and vinyl collection by Ogdoo Music Group. With their new album, they immediately won over the audience and the critics who described it as one of their best works since its beginning and as one of the most interesting albums of the year.
Thanos Mikroutsikos
Ypogeia Revmata (Underground Currents) collaborates with Thanos Mikroutsikos to adapt and interpret in their own way songs of the composer with a political character. The performances with these songs that preceded it, had such resonance and acceptance that gave birth to the need to record this material. So Thanos Mikroutsikos and Ypogeia Revmata entered the studio to record the album "I'm bored of them" Tous echo varethei which is now being released by Legend.
This is followed by tours all over Greece and Cyprus with Thanos Mikroutsikos, as well as collaborations with artists such as Yiannis Koutras, Christos Thivaios, etc.
Album with Thanos Mikroutsikos, Tous Echo Varethei in which they present adapted songs with political-social content, from the broad repertoire of Thanos Mikroutsikos, on the lyrics of great poets (V. Mayakovsky, N. Hihmet, B. Brecht, G. Ritsos, A. Alcaios, M. Eleftheriou, M. Anagnostakis, Fr. Vijon, K. Tripolitis, N. Kavvadias, V. Birman, etc.)
In 2007, after six years of absence from discography, Ypogeia Revmata return with their new album 'Νέα Μέρα' (Nea Mera, New Day), a title that marks the new age of the band. The band shows a different sound and composition from the usual, mixing rock and lyrical elements and emphasising poetic lyrics. This new album startled many, as it has a lot of foreign elements.
